Join Claire Cowling of Thrive Floristry for a full day dedicated to the art of bridal bouquet design, working with beautiful seasonal flowers and natural materials.
With more than 35 years’ experience in the floristry industry, RHS Chelsea Gold Medals and extensive experience creating flowers for weddings and events, Claire will share the knowledge, techniques and practical experience gained from thousands of wedding flowers.
This is a hands-on workshop for florists who want to develop their bridal bouquet skills, explore different styles and approaches, and create beautiful, considered designs using seasonal flowers.
We’ll look beyond simply putting flowers together and consider what makes a bridal bouquet really work — from the initial design and choice of seasonal flowers through to shape, proportion, colour, movement and how the bouquet works with the bride and her dress.
On the day we'll explore:

- Techniques for creating beautiful, well-constructed bouquets
- Mechanics and construction
- Proportion and scale — and how to make a bouquet work with the bride

- Practical ideas that can be adapted for different clients, styles and budgets
There will be demonstrations from Claire, followed by plenty of hands-on floristry, giving you the opportunity to practise techniques, experiment with your own ideas and receive guidance throughout the day.
At Thrive, we love working with flowers that are in season, naturally beautiful and allowed to do what they do best.
This workshop is about understanding how to use seasonal flowers creatively rather than relying on a set recipe or a particular list of blooms. We'll look at their natural characteristics, how they work together and how to create a bouquet with movement, texture and a sense of season.
You'll be encouraged to learn the techniques, developing your eye and gaining the confidence to create your own beautiful seasonal bridal bouquets.
