From the UK is work featured from Sarah Horne, Wendy Andrade, ME!! and loads more... The magazine is full of ideas - a collection for all - including an amazing ‘one to one’ with top New York Event designer, David Beahm – his designs are sure to get your creative juices flowing! There’s fab step by steps from the well loved Australian designers – Mark Pampling and Irene Brockwell, to inspire you…. and great info on the latest trends & themes and new products.
I am thrilled to have my collection featured once again - the only designer in the UK to have individual collections in all three magazines!!
My designs are a collection of three haute couture bouquets – specially designed for a gorgeous dress kindly loaned for my shoot, by renowned UK dress designer, Terry Fox – who recently won a top award in the fashion industry for her stunning dresses, and is also based locally in Bury St. Edmunds!! Thanks Terry ;-D
My designs show various interpretations, styles and shapes which I felt would suited the gown – which, being so highly intricate and detailed with lace and beading embellishments, required a detailed, highly fashioned bouquet which would become an accentuating part of the whole Bridal ensemble as opposed to an insignificant design which would be overshadowed by the dress. The designs needed to be a tapestry of fresh flowers and natural materials, highlighted by a clusters of pearls, Swarovski crystals, sequins, bugle beads and ribbons to add character and interest to the overall design of the bouquets and link them to the exciting detail on the gown.
I hope you like them! Want to know how to make designs like these?! Then book yourself on one of our fab day floristry workshops.

FLOWERS FOR FUNERALS MAGAZINE, ISSUE 1
In the UK each year there are more than 500,000 deaths, last year 240889 males, 261710 females. Each one of those people is unique and special, however, sadly, funeral flowers have been out of vogue for a number of reasons. We would like to do our little bit to try to turn that around, as we firmly believe that emotive funeral flowers play an important part in celebrating life and saying that final goodbye. Unlike other celebrations, where there is usually lots of preparation time, funerals take place when people are under stress, and usually fairly quickly. The family’s experience of flower giving for these occasions is often limited and selection can be difficult.
Flowers for Funerals Magazine is an exciting new magazine that shows newly bereaved people what kind of floral tributes are fitting & appropriate for highly individual celebrations of life. It invites them to take their time in the choosing process, and to see first hand how gorgeous tributes can be, inexpensive as well as lavish. As wide range of tributes will be illustrated together with features of other relevant articles. For example – suggestions of what to write on the card, colour and the poignant language of flowers. There are also a few ‘how to’ articles, so that people who would like to make their own tributes for their loved ones, can do so with confidence.
The majority of the magazine concentrates on flowers, but there is also a small book & sundries selection.
Why not have your own work included in this publication - we would like to show a broad range of styles and designs in addition to our own. Please email or telephone for specification details. All images used will be fully credited. If you have any ideas for features, please get in touch too. We hope that this launch issue will be successful and helpful, so that it becomes a half yearly or even quarterly publication rather than annual.
If you would like to advertise your own products or services in our magazine, please get in touch too.
The cost of Flowers for Funerals Magazine, Issue 1 is £7.50 plus £1.50 postage and packing for individual copies, with discounted rates for multiple copies. We anticipate launching the magazine in late March/early April 2008. Thank you.
